Taras Castle, praised as one of the continent's most formidable fortresses, was built within a forest with limited invasion routes, and equipped with a wide moat and multiple walls.

Now, that mighty fortress had welcomed a great calamity to its edge.

Koai walked leisurely along the inside of the castle wall. Fortunately, the high parts of the castle were visible even from the wall's side, so there was no fear of losing her way and exiting to the outside of the opposite wall.

After walking for a while, she saw smaller, house-like buildings lined up in an orderly fashion. From several of these buildings, people carrying weapons rushed out.

"Wh-who are you?!"

"An intruder!"

The humans shouted, each in their own way, as they confronted the intruder—Koai.

However, their voices did not reach Koai, who was within her "Sanctuary." Koai glanced at the humans who came into her view, but finding it a bother to deal with them, she tried to simply pass by.

"Tch, what the hell?!"

"Hmph, to hell with it!"
