Koai arrived back at her usual place in the forest, by the lakeside... at her residence, Taras Castle.
At the lake where snow flurried, she let her horse drink a little water... then passed through the first and second castle gates, which were wide open.
Without looking at the residents she occasionally passed, she proceeded further into the castle grounds... The third gate, the one just before the mansion, was closed.
Moreover, figures that looked like gatekeepers stood on the left and right sides of the gate.
There weren't any gatekeepers before... but this is my castle. No need to worry about it, I suppose.
Koai, paying no particular mind to the gatekeepers' presence, approached the gate.
However, even as Koai drew near, the gate did not open to accommodate her.
"This is Lady Koai's mansion. You don't look like a messenger or a merchant on official business... Were you summoned by someone?"
About a dozen paces from the gate, Koai was stopped by a man who appeared to be a gatekeeper, a Green Demon (Elf).
"On a horse... a human? If you have no business here, leave the forest at once... Hmm?"
