Summary of the previous chapter

Near the fortress city of Tafkau, Coai confronted the 'Servants of God'... those called Heroes. And at the end of the battle, she let one of the Servants escape, defeated another, and just as she thought she had defeated the last one... their body suddenly underwent a strange transformation.

The Hero's body, recovering from the brink of death, now conveyed to Coai the presence of something else entirely.

"Man, to think a day like this would actually come."

The woman's form turned a genuine smile towards Coai, one she had never shown before.

"How many decades? How many centuries? I don't even know anymore, but it just goes to show ya, it pays to struggle 'til the end."

Though the form was that of the human woman called a 'Servant of God' or 'Hero,' her tone, demeanor, and aura gave Coai a completely different impression.

The man called the 'King of Demonic Beasts'... my, perhaps, greatest rival. The 'enemy' I fought the longest. How many years has it been since we last fought?

In any case, she feels... so much like that man.

Like that man... who changed my entire life.
