Koai stood alone, motionless, in a corner of the bedroom.

Around her thigh, a sensation like her robe was sticking to her...
She checked the spot where she felt it, the inner and back of her thigh, with her eyes and hands.
The robe itself wasn't stuck there, but a smear of blood, starting to congeal, had spread across the area.

The inside of her body...
She had been cut and bled from the outside of her shoulders, arms, and legs before.
For example, last year, when she fought the "King of Magical Beasts"... she was cut and bled all over.

But she had almost no memory of ever bleeding from the inside of her torso or limbs.
If she had to say... it would be the day she first summoned Snow and sent her back.
That was the only time, when she failed to release the magical power she had built up inside her body and let it pierce through her entire being.

Unlike that time, there was no pain anywhere on her body, as if she'd been cut or stabbed.
The dullness and heaviness she had felt in her body until a moment ago... was now completely unnoticeable.

It seemed the remote attack by some magic user had stopped.
She didn't know the caster's aim, but the bleeding would probably stop soon.

In that case... she wanted to investigate the town, but first, she wanted to wash off this unpleasant blood.
But, is it night now? Just in case, maybe she should wait for morning while keeping an eye on things.
