Sunlight poured brilliantly through the bedroom window, brightly illuminating the room. Amidst it all, Koai had been by Snow's side since midnight, just as before.

"Nnngh..."

Snow let out a small sound without waking and turned over in her sleep. She rolled onto the shoulder Koai's hand had been resting on, curling her body up and sandwiching Koai's hand with her cheek.

Koai's hand was pulled in, and she shifted her body slightly closer to her.

The profile Koai could see was soft and warm, as if smiling.

I don't want to ruin this sleeping face.

Feeling this, Koai found herself unable to move her trapped hand.

But a short while later, suddenly...
The sunlight streaming in from the east-facing window turned red.
