At the edge of the Elf village closest to the human border, Koai saw that humans had been captured.

Koai, along with the young man who had guided her to the village, headed toward them.

In what appeared to be the village square, several humans were tied to stakes, one by one. One of the Elves surrounding them was speaking.

"Your comrade died just from that arrow grazing his hand. To think you'd use such a potent poison in the forest."

Koai approached as she listened to their exchange.

"Poison? Y-you people were using poison arrows too, something like a paralyzing agent!"

"Those are cursed arrows, and they only slow movement temporarily."

"What? You can use such powerful enchantments (Assign)?"

"You really underestimated our village mages, didn't you?"

"I've never heard anything like that... What in the world was the local magistrate watching for..."
